Removal and refitting a CVJ and boot kit on the wheel side (OJK)
How do you change the constant velocity joint and boot kit on the wheel-side driveshaft (OJK)

Remove the driveshaft from the vehicle.

Cut the metal collar.

Remove the faulty seal (inertia weight).
- 4
Remove the boot.
- 5
Reinstall the new SNR boot.
- 6
Fill the seal hole with half the tube of grease.
Caution: when putting the grease in the seal, the grease is not deposited on the balls but inside the hole. When the bar is fitted, the grease will come out through the balls.

Place the rest of the grease tube in the new boot.

Change the snap ring, then press it back in place using the special pliers.

Reassemble the gasket on the bar.

Tighten the clamps using the special spanner coupled to a torque wrench.
- For optimum clamp tightening, refer to the Tech Info.
- Be careful: a clamp that is not tight enough will cause grease to leak. Conversely, a clamp that is too tight will cause the boot to split.

Reinstall the driveshaft on the vehicle.
