Dismantling and fitting a rear shock absorber
How to change rear shock absorbers correctly.

Place the vehicle on a lift.

Remove the right-hand rear wheel from the vehicle.

Remove the screws connecting the filter block to the bodywork.

Undo the lower shock absorber link on the suspension arm.

Remove the shock absorber.

To make removal of the shock absorber easier, secure it in a strut vice.

Use the OM1112 damper head removal kit to remove the damper filter block.

Remove the filter block and stack it.
- 9
Remove the spacer and cap to reuse them when fitting the new shock absorber.

Prepare the new SNR KB9 filter block.
Remember: filter blocks must always be changed in pairs.

Remove the shock absorber from its box. Remember: shock absorbers should always be changed in pairs.

Manually squeeze the damper rod vertically to remove the retaining tie. It is normal for the rod to come out as this is a gas shock absorber.

Reinstall the tube.

Reinstall the spacer.

Install the new SNR KB9 filter block.

Tighten the nut using the appropriate tools from the shock absorber head removal kit.

Install the shock absorber.

Install the two screws connecting the filter block to the chassis.

Tighten to torque.

Fit the shock absorber link screw to the suspension arm.

Tighten to torque.

Reinstall the wheel.

Tighten the wheel bolts to the correct torque.

DUPLICATE THIS PROCEDURE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.
