Removing and re- fitting a complete driveshaft
How to change a complete driveshaft (DK)
- 1
Place the vehicle on a lift.
- 2
Remove the wheel on the relevant side.

- 3
Loosen the driveshaft nut (never rest the vehicle on the ground with a loose driveshaft).
- 4
Disconnect the brake hose from the shock absorber strut in order to reposition it correctly, place a mark to facilitate reassembly).

- 5
Undo the vehicle knuckle connections.

- 6
Remove the driveshaft from the wheel hub.

- 7
Remove the driveshaft from the knuckle.

- 8
Loosen the relay bearing.

- 9
Remove the complete driveshaft.

- 10
Reposition the new SNR driveshaft.

- 11
Reinstall the parts (in the reverse order of removal), observing the tightening torques using a torque wrench.
The final tightening of the driveshaft nut should be done with the wheel hanging, never with the wheel on the ground, as this could destroy the bearing.
