Detecting and troubleshooting an ABS fault and replacing the wheel speed sensor
How to diagnose an ABS fault by troubleshooting the wiring harness. Follow the steps to change the ASB SNR wheel speed sensor.
- 1
Search for the fault using the electronic diagnostic kit.

- 2
Check the state of the battery (it must be greater than 12V, otherwise it must be changed).

- 3
Diagnose each wheel to check the state of the sensor.

- 4
Once the faulty sensor has been identified, remove the wheel on the corresponding side.

- 5
Check the condition of the connector (oxidation, breakage).

- 6
Test the sensor using an oscilloscope.

- 7
If it does not respond, replace the sensor with an SNR brand part.
Do not apply grease to the sensor: cleaning is sufficient.

- 8
Reconnect the diagnostic unit and clear the fault (the LED will go out).
